You’re ready to get going again, but what about your helmet?

    06/11/2020

It’s finally time to get back in the saddle and rekindle your passion for your motorcycle. Before you take off, take a moment to do a check-up and clean your GIVI helmet. Follow the instructions in our video. It is always important to check and maintain your helmet when winter is over or after a long period of not using it. And, especially right now, cleaning and sanitising your helmet is absolutely essential!First, check the general condition of your helmet. Are there signs of damage or wear? Have you dropped it? Even if it doesn’t show signs of external damage, consider whether you should replace it. A helmet that is not perfectly intact is not as effectively protective. Even if it has been stored with the utmost care, all manufacturers recommend replacing your helmet every 5 years.Let's get to the tips on how to perfectly sanitise your GIVI helmet.First, take care of the inside. The interior can be easily removed and machine washed. Now, you will be able to clean the inside of the shell and the strap much more easily, using a soft cloth and a cleaner/disinfectant.Next, clean the outside of the helmet. You can also remove the visor for easier and more thorough cleaning. Now, you just have to replace the interior padding. It's really easy to make your GIVI helmet look like new! Watch the video for the step by step process.
