GIVI is proud to announce it will be supporting the forthcoming project ‘7 Mila Miglia Lontano - Ritorno al Centro 2017’ [7 Thousand Miles Away - Back to the Centre 2017] which has the noble goal of opening a fine arts workshop and school in Southern India.
The 7MML journey will begin in September 2016, from various starting points around the World, with 7 different means and methods of transport, and it will reach its climax on 17/07/2017. Photographers, videomakers, writers, professionals and enthusiasts will all be participating in the adventure, combining different points of view and diverse perspectives.
One trip inspired by the heart, but divided into seven different routes to fulfil a desire for discovery. An adventure must always have a goal, and the goal of the 7MML is extremely worthwhile; to create something that will stand the test of time, that will help young, creative talent grow in an area of India where studying art is still only a prerogative of the few.
A dream that combines art and adventure along the World’s roads is obviously a synonym of GIVI, which immediately gave its support sponsoring the only motorbike taking part in the initiative. The bike, a legendary Enfield, entirely personalised by GIVI, will leave from Brescia on 1st June 2017 for a journey covering 13,000 kilometres covering Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Bosnia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Pakistan and finally India.
An apparently impossible journey but motivated by solidarity, it will undoubtedly be a success, packed with thrills and adventure, along a route whose destination is a brighter future for disadvantaged young people in India who currently can only dream about studying the arts.
